Sermon Title: What a Christ-follower Looks Like
Sermon Text: 1 Peter 1:13-21
Sermon Notes:
- What God does for us always precedes what we do for Him.
What a Christ-follower looks like:
- Live in hope (verse 13)
- Hope: A Christians attitude towards the future.
- God didn’t save you so you can endure this life. You were made to thrive.
- Live in holiness (verses 14-16)
- Holiness means to be set apart or to be dynamically different.
- Holiness comes from your heart, not your actions.
- To be holy is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to love your neighbor as yourself.
- Holiness is reflected in your devotion to God and your adoration of Him.
- Live in reverential fear (verses 17-21)
